Gender Equality

All of our activities are open to both boys and girls. However, initially more than 95% of students were male due to societal and cultural barriers.

After collaboration with community elders and women’s groups we introduced a dedicated girls class with additional safeguarding protocols.

This has been a resounding success and we have now achieved gender parity in the classroom. We also have a designated girls’ mentor and community liaison officer to deal with any issues or concerns the girls or their parents have on their educational journey.
